Cold callers, scams and rogue traders

Scam emails are something NHW Croydon are often asked about.  Here is a step-by-step guide on what to do if you receive a scam email.

Phishing emails are often sent to try and get your personal information and/or plant a virus on your computer.

If you have received one of these emails and have not lost any money. DO NOT click any links in the email or reply to the sender.  Report this email to action fraud by clicking here or call 0300 123 2040.

If you have lost money or given your personal details please click here to report to Action Fraud.

Possible doorstep cold callers and rogue traders. If no crime has occurred please contact Croydon Trading Standards with as much information as possible, including any leaflets/flyers you may have received.  Croydon Trading Standards can be contacted via email, trading.standards@croydon.gov.uk, or phone 020 8407 1311.

If a crime has occurred call 999 in an emergency or 101 for non-emergency.

Please also contact Citizens Advice on 03454 04 05 06 or click here to fill in an online form.  This information will then be passed onto Croydon Trading Standards.
